I had a great time in Casa de los monos! I was deleited with the idea of been in the middle of the jungle. El Nogalito is such a place! I went to the river every day, for a natural massage in the water, surrounded by banana trees, birds and butterflies of all colors an size. It was summer time so it rained every day, and it was gorgeous to see the mountains with curtains of water. It was a good experience, and I got to know the other side of Puerto Vallarta, were a lot of the local people live.It was a really nice and different experience, and the house has and incredible view to the jungle. Beside the owners can take you anywhere in town, or to any tour you wish to take. Thank you guys!! Susana Sanchez Piccaluga Argentina |
My good buddy and I stayed at Casa de los Monos for 2 days last year. It was fantastic. The house is completely relaxing, the view is beautiful and Lorena and Remco were completely accommodating. Had we not been at the end of our trip, we would have stayed longer. Luckily, we stayed until the last minute and Lorena gave us a lift to the airport! Definitely stop bye if your in the area, you won't be disappointed. Brian Ratay Portsmouth, NH |
My Stay Casa de los Monos was amazing. Lorena and Remco were very accommodating. They cooked an excellent breakfast and treated us like friends as well as guests. They made some great recommendations of local attractions and made sure we had a good time. The rooms also have an amazing view of the mountains and wildlife. The pool is also great with well manicured seating area with abundant flowers surrounding the area. A great place to unwind in the serene atmosphere of the Mexican jungle. .I definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone inquiring. Joseph A Couture Bancroft Ont |
One of my most favorite places to stay in Mexico, is Casa de los Monos. 10 minutes off the noisy road leading into P. Vallarta, this full service B&B is like paradise...reminds me of the hills between volcanoes in Maui. The owners are cool and hip and love to have a good time if you let them. I can't wait to go back. Dave Pelletier Portsmouth NH |
I love coming to Nogalito and casa de los monos. What a place and in such an incredible location. Close to everything yet hidden away from the masses. I've been twice now and will definitely be back in the future. Great value and great hosts, I can't say enough about the place. Check it out for your self and I bet you find a place that you will want to come back too. Christoper Smeaton New Zealand |
My husband and I had the great pleasure of spending 2 months at Casa de los Monos. I had never been anywhere in Mexico and had no idea what to expect from the Puerto Vallarta area, its people and its culture. We acquired our accommodation at Casa de los Monos by luck. My husband, a great internet researcher, came upon the web site and we instantly fell in love with it, but what we actually experienced while staying there is a treasure we will keep in our hearts for the rest of our lives. The owners Lorena and Remco became like our family, and their dear little boy Blas showered us with smiles and coos and cuddles all day long. We would start our day sitting on the beautiful terrace overlooking the jungle listening to, and of course atching, the magnificent birds of the area. Lorena or Remco would cook a delicious breakfast of our choice and we would linger over 2nd and 3rd cups of coffee listening to classical music, chat, dream, and plan our
day. We had contracted Lorena to help us with our Spanish -so every morning when we had our last sip of coffee she would give us our one hour Spanish lesson. She is the best teacher in all of Mexico!!! Our lessons completed for the day and our plans made we would venture out for our day. We had scooters with us but if you don't have your own transportation - no problem - Lorena or Remco will drive you wherever you want to go and pick you up or tour you around for the day. The bus is a short walk from their door and leaves every 6 or 7 minutes going both ways, north 5 minutes to Puerto Vallarta or south to Mismaloya and one of the best swimming areas, eating areas and people watching areas in Puerto Vallarta. Staying at Casa de los Monos gives you the best of everything - you can experience the hustle and bustle of P. V. with all its vendors, stores, restaurants, and entertainment galore all just 5 or 6 minutes from your door or you can choose to lie by the pool at the Casa and listen to the sound of nature in its purest form. The accommodation is immaculately clean, simple, and comfortable with your own little private balcony for those evenings you want to eat in and relax. It was a beautiful 2 months and both my husband and I shed a tear when we had to say goodbye to our new found family and home. For us it is just Hasta Luego because we will be back - no doubt about it - you can only resist paradise for so long.
